Prism – LGBT+

Do you identify as part of the LGBT+ community and want accessible support around your alcohol and/or drug use?

We are Prism

Prism is Bristol’s free LGBT+ Alcohol & Drug Support service run by BDP. Prism is a judgement-free service that has harm reduction at its core. We engage with people where they are at. There is no requirement to be abstinent or want abstinence. We understand that some people use drugs, so we want them to do so as safely as possible and feel as in control as they can.

What can Prism offer you?

Prism offers a variety of different options depending on your needs. Engaging with Prism is supplementary to other BDP services meaning that you can access Prism whilst engaging with other services such as Shared Care.

One-to-one support:

Through Prism, you can get one-to-one support with an LBGT+ specialist drugs worker.

How to access one-to-one support:

Contact BDP and ask to talk to a Prism worker. You can contact BDP by phone, email, our online contact form or by visiting our Drop-in.

All contact details can be found here:

Group Sessions:

Prism runs a weekly social support group where members of the group come together to support one and other and take part in a range of activities.

How to attend the group:

Register your interest by contacting BDP or ask to be referred by your current BDP worker. A member of the Prism team will then contact you to discuss the group, whether it is what you are looking for and what you can expect if you attend.

Where can you find us?

Prism is based out of BDP’s Central office at 11 Brunswick Square, Bristol, BS2 8PE
