M32 Youth Group takes on Capital’s Summertime Ball!

Capital threw their annual Summertime Ball this month, and our M32 Youth Group had the amazing opportunity to go along for the ride!

In April 2025 Bristol Drugs Project received 3 years of funding from Sweet Projects. Thanks to this funding we were able to take some of our young people to the Capital Summertime Ball.

And what a ball it was!

From the luxury of their own private box, two of our M32 team members, Jamie and Lynne, along with six members from our youth group, enjoyed an unforgettable night at Wembley, filled with star-studded performances, a personal chef, and an abundance of food and drinks.

From Busted and Mcfly to Mariah Carey, everyone had a blast!

“It was incredible, I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to go, I had the best time! Thank you for inviting me!” – M32 group member

“It was amazing, I would love to do it again. Mandy – the lady who ran the box – was very welcoming, thank you for the experience. Jessie J was definitely my favourite!” – M32 group member

This kind of opportunity holds immense significance for our young people. For many, M32 offers a safe environment where they can find connections and enjoy themselves with others who share similar experiences. The group typically involves shared meals, engaging activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor play, cooking, and one-on-one time when necessary. Thus, the chance to change the scenery and venture outside the city is incredibly exciting.

“I get very anxious of new places and lots of people but we were in the box so I felt safe and relaxed. I have always wanted to go to a concert but never thought I would be able to go, being in the box made it extra special.” – M32 group member

Being able to provide this once in a life time experience for our young people wouldn’t have been possible without the help of Sweet Projects, whom we extend a massive thank you to for making this dream a reality.
