2017 – 2018

Promote was a 12 month innovative project to scope how we might best support marginalised male sex workers and sex workers of other underserved genders.  The 12 month project was a partnership between  BDP and the Terrence Higgins Trust and was funded by the  HIV Prevention Innovation Funding. The project concluded in December 2018.

A draft set of ‘best practice Top-Tips’ for people working with men selling sex was shared with partners at the end of the year and is being reviewed. It will be shared on this website with the rest of our learning from the project in March: please come back to this page then if you are interested in our work in understanding how to support the health and wellbeing of men selling sex in Bristol.

If you are a man selling sex and want some support now you can choose to contact Prism (our dedicated LGBT+ Alcohol and Drug Service) or call our helpline on 0117 987 6000.
