About this role:
Our Non-Opioid Treatment team is brand new to the treatment system in Bristol, responding to the growing need for specialist treatment services for people using substances such as cocaine, cannabis & ketamine. The Team Leader will provide flair, enthusiasm and expertise to support staff to develop an excellent, aspirational service. You may also carry a small caseload yourself to support this, particularly to pilot new inventions/ways of working.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising a team of practitioners and advanced practitioners to deliver a range of treatment interventions including brief interventions, structured groups and 1-1s
- Strengthen multi-agency working with relevant services across the city (eg. urology, mental health services, hepatology), including by delivering training
- Support in the development of our specialist ketamine treatment pathway
- Monitor staff and service performance to ensure we’re providing a gold standard service

Our Horizons Service:
Horizons is a brand new partnership that is delivering services to support people affected by drug and alcohol use in Bristol. We have partnered with Turning Point (who are lead provider) and seven other local and national providers: The Nelson Trust, Hawkspring, One 25, Southmead Development Trust, Southmead Project, Wellspring Settlement, and Release. As a partnership we draw on the expertise of all of the organisations involved to create a service that best meets the unique needs of the people we support.
Special Notes or Conditions
- An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check is a prerequisite of offer of employment.
- Post-holders are required to have a Hepatitis B vaccination
- This is a post in a developing service, which involves a wide range of agencies. The priorities for this role will be under review and may change as the service develops requiring flexibility from the post holder
