(Male, South Bristol)

BDP is an expert, energetic charity working with over 5,000 people a year in a vibrant city with an increasingly diverse population. We are seeking exceptional people to join us:

With over 20 years of providing services for children and young people we are  partnering with Creative Youth Network  to provide specialist substance use support for young people affected by their own or a family members drug or alcohol use. As part of Bristol’s new Targeted Youth Support Service, we will be working with over 450 young people involved with or affected by problematic alcohol and drug use.

Based in the South Hub, you will be part of a youth work team, including other specialist staff covering wellbeing and healthy relationships. As part of this integrated approach you will identify, engage and support young people through 1:1 and small group work. You will also be a resource for colleagues and partners and provide structured training and day to day consultancy.  You will also provide the pathway for young people into drug and alcohol treatment services.   If you are passionate about working with young people, assertive in reaching young people in need, with excellent organisational skills and are able to work well in a partnership setting, this is for you.

Candidates must have access to their own motorised transport.

The post is only open to male applicants and is exempt under Schedule 9 Part 1 Equalities Act 2010. This post is subject to an enhanced disclosure check.
