UPDATE: Information for Job Applicants’ in Application Pack

BDP is an expert, energetic charity working with over 4,000 people a year in a vibrant city with an increasingly diverse population. We are seeking an exceptional person to join us.

BDP has pioneered work with older people experiencing problems with their alcohol or drug use for nearly 10 years. We recognise that substance use in older age brings with it additional challenges across health and wellbeing and different life experiences can isolate people from opportunities and activities in older age.

Working alongside BDP’s weekly meeting group for older people, the 50+ Crowd, we will be asking you to harness the power of their lived experience and support the group to identify what recovery can look like in older age, build the capacity of individuals to take on roles and responsibility within the group and educate organisations to better meet the needs of older people experiencing problems with alcohol or drugs.

We are looking for someone committed to community development, with strong planning and organisational skills and above all empathy and understanding of the needs of older people whose alcohol or drug use is problematic.
