Please note this is a post to cover maternity leave from March to December 2021.

Nearing our 35th year, BDP is an expert, energetic charity working with over 3,500 people a year, including 500 children and young people, in a vibrant city with an increasingly diverse population. We are seeking exceptional people to join us:.

With over 20 years of providing services for children and young people, with funding from the CHK Foundation, BDP is half way through a pilot 24 -month period within the BDP Youth Team to provide specialist youth work to support young people adversely affected by cannabis use and at risk of exploitation.

You will build relationships with the young people at risk who need a persistent and flexible approach, with a focus to building a strong and trusted therapeutic alliance for a maximum of 6-months to maximise opportunities for change. The target will be young cannabis users most at risk from Child Criminal Exploitation, Child Sexual Exploitation, Anti-Social Behaviour and Serious Youth Violence, including knife crime. You will be expected to deliver both one to one and small group work. Your knowledge of drug and alcohol use will inform the work of project partners; including Safer Options and other Bristol responses to Serious Youth Violence.
