Are you passionate about supporting people whose lives are affected by alcohol or other drugs?
This is a new role, seconded from Bristol Drugs Project to Second Step, a leading mental health charity in the South West offering housing, support and hope to the thousands of people they work with. The goal is to inspire hope and deliver change for everybody and every community they work in.
You will bring your enthusiasm and knowledge of drugs and alcohol harm reduction and/or housing, to work in collaboration within the HNFSS team including Housing First provision and cluster housing specialist coordinators. You will help engage people into drug and alcohol treatment, as well as offering support and advice. You will be passionate, resilient and great at building relationships quickly.
You will provide trauma-informed support to a people accommodated in temporary accommodation, private rented accommodation and social housing to access appropriate treatment options in Bristol.
We are seeking someone with real passion for our work and commitment in improving lives for those most marginalised in society. You will be confident in working independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
