Recruiting | Drug & Alcohol Engagement Worker (ASB Focus)

Workers at BDP come from diverse backgrounds and experiences but all share a drive to make a difference in the lives of the people we work with. Our worker’s values come above their job history or qualifications. If you share our attitudes, we can teach you the skills needed for the job.

This role, with funding through the ADDER programme, will deliver proactive trauma-informed support to local authority tenants for up to six months. Through early intervention, you will be the vital link into treatment services for people whose drug and/or alcohol use, along with any concurrent problematic behaviour, is affecting their housing situation. You will work closely with Bristol’s tenancy support teams and other statutory organisations to minimise the risk of people losing their accommodation.

If you have good communication skills and a passion for both reducing harm and supporting people to make the changes they want to make in their lives, we want to hear from you.

Now in our 37th year, BDP is an expert, energetic organisation supporting 3,500 people a year to make changes to their drug and alcohol use.
