Are you the family member of a veteran affected by alcohol or other drugs?

We're running a Coffee Morning to find out more about the experiences and support needs of family members of ex-service personnel with problematic alcohol or drug use.

We're inviting family members to take part in a survey, whose results will be used to develop a new peer support intervention to help families of veterans.

The Survey

The survey is part of a research project by the Forces in Mind TrustUniversity of York and Adfam.

There is a lot of evidence showing that families can be greatly affected by a loved one’s substance use and we also know that a relatively high proportion of veterans have problems with substance use. However, we know very little about the particular problems experienced by families of veterans with substance use problems.

- Professor Charlie Lloyd, University of York

By completing the survey, you can enter into prize draw to receive one of two £50 High Street / Amazon vouchers.

The survey will take 45 minutes and will ask questions about you and your experiences. Some of these questions are of a sensitive nature, but dedicated staff will be on site to provide support and give you more details about support services available for families and your loved-ones.

Reasonable travel expenses reimbursed. Please RSVP below.
