Promote Project Findings

Featuring the Bristol Sex Worker Collective

Launched publicly earlier this year Promote is a project supporting male sex workers, and sex workers of underserved genders, to access a range of health and wellbeing support, free from prejudice.

Having received funding from Public Health England’s HIV Prevention Innovation Fund in 2017, the Bristol-based project brought together the experiences of BDP (and our Prism service) with Terrence Higgins Trust's renowned support for HIV and sexual health, to provide 1-to-1 interventions, promote PrEP and increase access to HIV testing.

As Promote draws to a close the project lead, Mark Ferbrache, will be discussing some of the findings and narrative of the past year's work. There will also be a presentation by the Bristol Sex Worker Collective, who has worked closely with Promote for the majority of the project.

Food and refreshments provided.

Promote is part of BDP's continued work into promoting safer sex and drugs in Bristol and exploring how Bristol could be responding to the chemsex scene.
