Drug Matters: Drugs Matter - Moving Forward
30th April 2008

A highlight of Bristol Drugs Project’s 21st year was the success of our campaign to get a fairer share of funding for drug treatment in Bristol and the South West. Throughout the year Bristol Drug Project's Council of Management have worked hard to raise awareness across the city about Bristol’s drug problem.

Smith & Williamson generously hosted a reception on the 30th April 2008 for people involved within drug services and the wider business community to hear about some of the work Bristol Drugs Project is doing to tackle one of the city’s most pressing problems.

Extra funding for Bristol was long overdue and with extra resources we will now be able to fund more services which will really benefit individuals and the community. Safe housing and gaining skills to enable long term employment were highlighted as key factors in helping to achieve and maintain a drug free lifestyle.
